Tim Moss was the former Registrar of Companies for the UK and Chief Executive of Companies House. He moved from that role to become the Comptroller General and CEO of UK Intellectual Property Office.
He was appointed to the role of Registrar in March 2012. He was the 31st Registrar in a line going back to 1844.
Tim was awarded the CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2016.
Tim joined CH in 2002 and has held many senior positions within the organisation covering operational and corporate functions, leading the digital transformation, various legislative reforms and the move to open data. Before joining CH Tim spent 12 years in senior operational roles in the manufacturing industry, he has a Natural Sciences degree from Cambridge University, an MBA from Swansea University and lives on a farm in South Wales.
In 2013 Tim became the first ever President of CRF; he sat on the ECRF Steering Committee and was Conference Director for the Joint CRF & ECRF Conference in 2016.
