Martin  joined Companies House in 2019 having spent 26 years working for the  Welsh Government, most recently working on criminal justice and  community safety. Martin led the Policy, Strategy  and External Communications functions at CH for 4 years, leading the  agency’s contribution to the development of the Economic Crime  (Transparency and Enforcement) Act and the Economic Crime and Corporate  Transparency Act.

Martin  now leads the Intelligence and Law Enforcement Engagement Directorate,  implementing the creation of a new Intelligence Hub, developing a new  approach to compliance and enforcement  and leading on the implementation of the Register of Overseas Entities.  Martin represents CH on a number of cross government groups on economic  crime, illicit finance, sanctions, money laundering and fraud.
