The first General Meeting of the Asia Pacific Corporate Registers Forum was sponsored by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in Melbourne on 10-11 March 2005. 

Following on from the success of the inaugural meeting of this group in February 2003, the current and new members came together under the guidelines of the then proposed Constitution to determine the future of the Forum.

The meeting included:

• Discussion and sign off of the Constitution
• Election of an Executive Committee
• Agreement to subscription costs to the Forum
• Planning for future General Meetings and forums

On 9 March, preceding the AGM, current and new members enjoyed a tour to the major processing and data capturing centre of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), based in the beautiful Latrobe Valley about 2 hours from Melbourne.
